Now come the brave souls who wish to have their stories heard and spread. When one finds the courage to enter the Depths of their minds they come to a point where the deepest darkness shows them a path to the light. The first step is opening the door that was closed so long ago. So come, listen to these courageous individuals beginning of becoming. It is not for the lighthearted, these stories shall tear the heart and soul from your being, these words are US, Our Lives, Our Pasts and Our Strengths. A lot of you may know people in these situations and look the other way, social etiquette has trained us to mind our business maybe. Perhaps you figured if they wanted help they would scream for it, or at the very least LEAVE, RIGHT? WRONG, often a traumatic event from an individual’s past leaves them incapable of seeing a rational plan of escape or cognitive dissonance occurs and they convince themselves that what happen was not the others’ fault but their own (if only they could have loved more, if only they could have been smarter or thinner). Or perhaps you know this one, "who am I to judge how another raises his child?" Who are you, you are COMMUNITY who if that child develops to be a healthy individual will have the drive that every one of his actions are for the betterment of YOU, the COMMUNITY. So please read and help shed light on what goes on in our Collective Shadows.

Meet the Survivors
Mercs' Story
It is important to acknowledge the immense trauma and fear that domestic abuse survivors often face. Surviving abuse can lead to physical and emotional scars that can last a lifetime. The act of taking self-defense against an abusive partner is a deeply complex and difficult decision, and it is essential to offer support and resources to those who have experienced abuse. It's important to remember that the victim is not at fault for the actions of their abuser and that seeking help is never a sign of weakness.
